Biotechnology Research Institute Strategic Plan

The Consultant was engaged by Peat Marwick Stevenson & Kellogg to participate in the preparation of a strategic plan for the Biotechnology Research Institute (BRI), one of four NRC institutes involved with biological research. The project commenced with an analysis of Canadian opportunities in biotechnology, in particular the degree to which biotechnology is expected to become a pervasive influence on the future Canadian economy. The need for new biotechnology in both the public and private sectors was evaluated. The Consultant had a prime role in formulating the strategic directions for BRI and in preparing the strategic plan. The resulting plan has been submitted to NRC's governing Council.
