The Consultant participated in five technical and financial audits of Imperial Oil/Exxon R&D, serving as project leader in several of these. The results were summarized in a paper entitled "Research at ESSO - Sixty Years of Practice - Organizing for the Future", published by the Canadian Research Management Association. The audits identified a high rate of return for both process and product research.
