Andria DawsonAndria is a Phd graduate student working on an interdisciplinary degree in Mathematical Natural Resource Management under the supervision of Mark Lewis (Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences) and Ken Stadt (Department of Renewable Resources). She is interested in forest growth and yield modeling, and is currently studying mortality dynamics in the mixedwood boreal forest. These models will predict forest stand development, and will help forest managers make more informed management decisions. Andria works closely with the Mixedwood Management Association, a partnership of ten primary forest companies operating in western Canada. |
