2006 - 2007 Newsletter
The Year in Review |
| |
This was a busy and productive year for the Lewis Research Group. We had many visitors and wonderful talks. The lab group is working on a real diversity of interesting projects -- from polar bears to beetles -- but, somehow, we continue to make positive and interesting connections at lab meetings. Thanks to everyone in the LRG for making this possible.
Best wishes for a great summer and productive fall. |

Comings and Goings
In the Summer 2006, three new postdocs joined the LRG. Tomas de-Camino-Beck and Jungmin Lee joined the group in July after completing their PhD Candidacy exams at the U of A, and AIF Postdoc, Frank Hilker, moved to Edmonton from Germany in August.
Congratulations to Jungmin on his new appointment as postdoc at the National Institute for Nanotechnology. We hope you will visit us often, Jungmin.
Congratulations to Bill Nelson on his new venture as a member of faculty at Queen's University, Ottawa. This relocation will move Bill, Argini, Amelia and Sarine closer to their home turf and family in Ontario.
Caspar Williams is leaving the LRG and is moving out of CAB into new digs with Bruce Sutherland's group as they relocate to the old Civil Engineering Building next door to CAB. Good luck with the move, Caspar.
Marjorie Wonham is moving on to British Columbia. We hope you will keep us up-to-date and entertained with tales from your adventures in biology, Mar.
