April 4, 2008: | As it turns out the notes on decoding BCH codes were essentially correct.
What was not correct is the definition of the error locator polynomial. While what we did in class is OK and works, it is more convenient to define the error locator polynomial with a + or - sign, so that
the equations always have the same sign. The notes have been updated (as of April 4, 11:45) to reflect and explain this fact. Also I included two complete examples.
