Labs

Labs start September 14, 2009.

Exams

There will be two common exams: Calculators will not be allowed.
If the midterm is missed for a valid reason (Section 23.5.6(1)a of the Calendar), the weight will be transferred to the final. There will be no deferred midterm.
Students who miss the final exam and obtain a formal (in writing) University accepted excuse for their absence may write a deferred exam on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at a time and place yet to be announced.
In addition to the requirements set out in section 23.5.5 of the Calendar, students wishing to be considered for a re-examination must have, excluding the final, completed at least one-half of the term work. Term performance will be considered in the decision to grant a re-examination.

Grading

The grade will be based on labs (10%), the midterm (30%), and the final (60%). Unless exceptional circumstances arise, grades will be awarded based on the long time statistics for the overall performance in Math 201.
