The only difference between the two editions is exercise. When assigning homework, I'll choose those problems appearing in both editions. I use the following formula to calculate your total score max(15% homework + 35% mid + 50% final, 30% mid + 70% final) In English, I will take the sum of 20% homework, 30% midterm and 50% final or the sum of 30% midterm and 70% final, whichever is higher, as your total score. Your course grade is determined by a curve, roughly, 30% A, 30% B and 30% C. EXAMS: No books and notes are allowed in exams. You may use a calculator. You should bring a photo ID to all exams.
