Abstracts

Registration and Studentships

Regular Participant Fee:
early bird fee until April 15, 2010: $600.00 CAN
after April 15, 2010: $650.00 CAN

Graduate Student Fee: (registration must be accompanied by letter from supervisor confirming student status.)
early bird fee until April 15, 2010: $300.00 CAN
after April 15, 2010: $350.00 CAN
There will be a limited number of Studentships valued at CA$500 to be awarded to graduate students coming from outside Alberta, presenting a paper at Waves IV and accompanied by their supervisor. These will be awarded on a `first-come, first-served' basis.
Fee includes Participants can register by cheque or by credit card payment. This can be done in advance by downloading the Registration Form, filling it out and mailing or Faxing it back, as indicated on the form.

Accommodation

Block bookings have been reserved at the following locations: Please book no later than May 14 to receive reduced rates. To get the reduced rate you must mention that you are with the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences or Waves 4.

Maps and Edmonton Info

It is about a 30 minute journey from the Edmonton Airport to the University. Cab fares are about $50. You can also take the Sky Shuttle which leaves for the university every 20-45 minutes and goes straight to Campus Towers and Lister Hall. Its cost is $15 one way/$25 return.

The location of the workshop, accommodation and the banquet venue (the Faculty Club) will be indicated on the Campus Map

The campus has a variety of restaurants and cafes, mostly concentrated at Hub Mall and the Student Union Building (SUB), shown on the Campus Map. There are a variety of good restaurants and pubs a short distance from campus primarily on Whyte Avenue (82 Ave) between 104 and 109 St. Recommendations include ...
