MSS ELECTIONS!

There are 5 positions to be filled: President, Vice President, Secretary/ Treasurer, Social Convener and Lounge Officer.
The positions often run uncontested, so it's very easy to become elected.
In order to do so, you need to show up at 2:00 pm on April 7 and nominate yourself. If you cannot make it to the elections meeting, then please submit your nomination in writing to me.
I'll (almost) without hesitation second your nomination because I don't want this club to fall into oblivion, and just like that you will be on the ballot.
After this nomination process, we vote via secret ballot, and then tally the results.
Food will be served, so bring yourself (so that you can run for executive), and all of your friends so that they can vote for you. If you don't bring your friends, nobody will vote for you and that would be sad.
Also, I also picked the 2:00 pm time, so all you youngsters in first year can come after you finish your Thursday 118 lecture. No excuses!

Year End BBQ! picnic!

Our Year End BBQ is now a Year End Picnic because the city is under a partial fire ban, which that fires of
any kind are not allowed in parks. This means that cooking food over BBQ with
no fire is going to be difficult (http://www.edmonton.ca/city_government/news/
partial-fire-ban-in-effect-for.aspx
).

The plan is to meet at the South Doors of CAB at 1:00 pm, at which point
everyone can walk to Emily Murphy Park together, where we can enjoy food and
each others company. We will have a frisbee (or two), but feel free to bring
anything else you want or need. If the weather is completely uncooperative, we
will either reschedule the picnic or find an alternate, indoor, location.

The MSS would appreciate an email RSVP, as we would like to know how much food
to bring, and if you have any special dietary requirements.

General Meeting
A meeting for all of the current (and future, that is, if you buy a membership) members of the MSS.
Come and listen to the executive talk about club related things (i.e. our constitution and t-shirts and laser tag), and come to share your ideas (i.e. complain).

It is important to come, as we will also be holding a little sub-election to elect someone to sit on the Department Council. If you would like to nominate someone, or yourself, please let one of the executive know ASAP.

If you did not make it to the meeting, the executive has posted minutes, and you can now email us.

The probability of there being snacks at the general meeting is not 0.
