I will present an introduction to several methods that have been used in the analysis of large-scale gene expression data, such as that obtained using DNA microarrays. Specifically, I will show examples of the adaptation and application of these methods to large-scale protein data. We will look at multivariate analysis methods such as Principal Component Analysis and Clustering and a reverse engineering method intended to elucidate the structure of genetic networks that has been adapted to the study of signal transduction pathways.
