Abstract:

 

Are there universal laws governing neural communications? What would be the optimal encoding schemes for neurons? What would be the mathematics of neural communication like? In this talk we will try to answer these questions in the context of a circuit model for bursting-spiking neurons and from a perspective of dynamical system point of view, in particular, the view of singularly perturbed differential equations.
