Marie Auger-Methe is a Ph.D. student co-supervised by Drs. Mark Lewis and Andrew Derocher. She completed B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in biology at Dalhousie University, where, under the supervision of Dr. Hal Whitehead, she developed photo-identification methods to identify the individuals of two species of whales, the pilot whale and the narwhal.

Marie is working to apply state-space models to the analysis of movement by Arctic mammals.
