PIMS International Graduate Training Centre (IGTC)

As the current revolution in biological information progresses, there is a well-recognized need for
new quantitative approaches and methods to solve problems in biology. To meet this need, in 2007 the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) established the first International Graduate Training Centre (IGTC) in the area of Mathematical Biology.

The purpose of the IGTC in Mathematical Biology is to train true interdisciplinary scientists whose central discipline is, none-the-less, mathematics and statistics.

Fully funded fellowships are available for graduate students. Application deadline for fellowships starting September 1, 2011 is February 8, 2011.
