What is the required GPA?
If you
are applying to enter after your 12th year or equivalent, you must
attain a minimum application average of 65% or 70% (in the "B" range),
depending on the program you wish to follow. Similarly, if you are
entering with some postsecondary work, you will need to present
an average of at least 2.0 on the University of Alberta 4-point
grading scale ("C" or above).

What are the course requirements?
Depending on how much you want to concentrate on one subject area in your Bachelor of
Science, you can follow the General, Specialization or Honors programs. You will have the freedom to tailor your degree to suit your education and career goals.

What are the admission deadlines?
There are three possible entry points for new students at the U of A. However, most programs
accept new students only in September. You will want to submit your application as early as possible, since we begin awarding conditional offers of admission as early as February and
March to students applying to begin in September.
