Awards for Honors Students
- J. W. Cambell Memorial Prize in Mathematics: $500 for a student of outstanding merit in MATH 117/118 whose academic record is otherwise satisfactory
- Cyril G. Wates Memorial Prize: $500 for a student of outstanding academic merit in MATH 127
- Cyril G. Wates Memorial Scholarship: $500 for a student of outstanding academic merit completing the second year of the honors program in mathematics
- Department Endowment Prize for Numerical Methods: $750 for a student of oustantding academic merit in MATH 381 or 481.
- Ernest Wilson Sheldon Memorial Prize in Mathematics: $1,500 for a student of outstanding merit completing the third year of the honors program in mathematics
- Murray Thomas Gibson Memorial Scholarship in Mathematics: at least four awards (totalling $5,800) for students in the honors program in mathematics, based on superior academic achievement
- Dr. Ali-Amir Husain Scholarship in Mathematics: $500 for a student with superior academic achievement convocating with
a BSc degree with honors in mathematics
- Dr. Hafiza Yahya Scholarship in Mathematics: $500 for a student with superior academic achievement entering the fourth year of a BSc program with honors in mathematics
- John Ross McGregor Scholarship in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences: $1,000 for a student with superior academic achievement graduating with a BSc degree from the honors or specialization program in mathematics or statistics
- Mathukuumalli Venkata Subbamma Prize: $500 for a student who has shown oustanding ability in number theory, as judged by the performance in at least one number theory course, and whose academic record is otherwise satisfactory
- Murray S. Klamkin Prize in Elementary Geometry: $500 for a student with superior academic achievement in MATH 214, 243, 341, or 343, provided that his/her record is otherwise satisfactory in the year of the award
- John Ross McGregor Gold Medal in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences: (awarded in even-numbered years) for a student with superior academic achievement from the honors or specialization program in mathematics or statistics
- Leo Moser Gold Medal in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences: (awarded in odd-numbered years) for a student with superior academic achievement from the honors or specialization program in mathematics or statistics
