MOMENT INVERSION FOR CONTAMINANT
CONCENTRATION IN TURBULENT FLOWS
PAUL J. SULLIVAN AND HONGLIN YE

Abstract. The α-β prescription of the moments of the probability density function of contaminant concentration has been observed in a reasonably wide range of turbulent shear flows. In this paper a Mellin transform is used to find the probability density function that corresponds to that moment prescription.
