PROPAGATION OF WAVES IN AN ISOTROPIC
THERMOELASTIC DIFFUSIVE PLATE LOADED
WITH VISCOUS FLUID

Abstract. This paper concentrates on the study of the propagation of waves in a homogeneous isotropic thermoelastic diffusive plate completely immersed in a viscous fluid on both sides in the context of different theories of thermoelastic diffusion. The secular equations for both symmetric and skew-symmetric modes of wave propagation have been obtained. The dispersion curves, attenuation coefficient and amplitudes of displacement components, temperature change and concentration for the symmetric and skew-symmetric wave modes are computed analytically and presented graphically.
