About CAMQ
The Canadian Applied Mathematics Quarterly (CAMQ) is
sponsored by the Applied Mathematics Institute of the University of Alberta and the Canadian
Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society/Société Canadienne de Mathématiques Appliquées et
Industrielle. Published quarterly with technical editing by Elizabeth and Ed Leonard at
the University of Alberta, with printing by Priority Printing Ltd. in Edmonton, Alberta.
The Canadian Applied Mathematics Quarterly will consider for publication original
research articles related to the applications of mathematics. All articles submitted
should establish a strong connection between the mathematics and applications.
Papers which develop new mathematical theories based upon scientific principles
and/or the analysis of data are particularly encouraged. We also encourage
outstanding surveys, and we will consider devoting a single issue to papers
presented at a particularly relevant applied workshop or from a conference
organized by an applied mathematics organization.
From 2004, one issue each year will be devoted to expanded reports from annual Industrial
Problem Solving Workshops sponsored by the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences.
