Peter H. Denham

                                                       Peter H. Denham was a pioneer of Edmonton. He was

                                           born in Edinburgh,  Scotland in 1898 and came to Edmonton

                                           in 1912. After serving with the Canadian Expeditionary Force

                                           in the First World War, he joined and worked with Edmonton

                                           Power in the City of Edmonton until his retirement in 1963.

                                                       Peter H. Denham was a longtime friend and admirer of

                                           the University of Alberta. He had a keen interest in academic

                                           excellence, particularly in the advancement of mathematics.

                                           The Peter H. Denham Memorial Fund has been established by

                                           his family to honour his memory.
